Hello! Whenever I'm working on Publisher and need to switch to the Designer persona, it works fine. But whenever I switch to the Photo persona, it works well for like a minutes, then it crashes and closes. Every single time. However, when I use Affinity Photo, the actual app, it works fine.

Does anybody else experience this?

Is it with a particular document or any document?

To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. If any of "my" posts are wrong or appear to be total b*ll*cks they are the ones generated by the AI. If correct they were probably mine. I apologise for any mistakes made by my AI - I'm sure it will improve with time.

It's only happened with one document so far, where I have a photo in it, but I haven't tried with any other document so far. It just happened today, and it's the first time I'm editing a photo straight from Publisher. Whenever I start editing the photo using the Photo persona, it crashes.

If it happens with more than one document it's likely to be the app or an app setting

If it's just the one document then it's possibly something in that document causing it to crash

For now, all I can recommend is going into Preferences > Performance and disable (untick) Hardware Acceleration, as that has been doing some weird stuff in certain machine configurations

If it still crashes, we may need you to upload the document or just the page/image that crashes, if you can copy that page to a new document and still get the crash

Thank you, I'll try that.

Ok, It didn't work... It still crashed. Would it help if I shared the crash/error message?

Sure, you can upload that

Yes, have sent several "reports" on this today as it still persists.

I was using photo persona to switch to and carry out some live perspective distortions and mesh distortions for some simple photo overlay visuals. Each time I switched and selected the layer to distort it, Publisher would crash. I may then get one more done on each "reload" – frustrating session!

Mac Studio M1 Max 32GB RAM running Sequioa 15 OS
ASUS ProArt screen and Hewlett Packard HD second screen.
Affinity Suite 2.5.5 and Beta releases

Is it possible to upload a crash report?
