May be a shortage of ram? Try hard resetting and then only open the affinity app. This will free up all ram for affinity’s use. 
Large files take longer to 'render' and if the iPad screen goes to sleep, rendering stops so adjust setting to stop screen sleeping or tap screen every few minutes. Be prepared for a long wait. 
Alternatively try exporting on a desktop with more ram. Hope you get it sorted.🙂

How large? PDFs have a size limit of, if I recall, 200 inches in any one direction if the pdf producer cannot set user units (which Serif applications cannot).

Hi Roogers Silva,

Adding to what DM1 has mentioned you could also try saving and closing any files you currently have open in Affinity to ensure you only have the file you are working on open. This will also free up more RAM etc.
