If so right-click the application icon and select Run as Administrator then try to sign-in/register again. The best I can do is explained in this post. I don't have an afreg file for any Affinity app anywhere on my Mac, but I don't have any problems signing into my account. I bought AD & AP from the Mac App Store & APub from the Serif Affinity Store, so there is not much I can contribute besides what I said there.
