danydidi94
I wish there was the Pattern Maker tool like in Illustrator to be able to create custom patterns. I'll post an adobe link to get the idea. https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/using/create-edit-patterns.html

Well you can make seamless patterns from bitmaps in Designer via the fill tool applied to shapes, it's something often used for creating own styles! danydidi94 1 Quote ☛ Affinity Designer 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Photo 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Publisher 1.10.8 ◆ OSX El Capitan ☛ Affinity V2.3 apps ◆ MacOS Sonoma 14.2 ◆ iPad OS 17.
danydidi94
It's a nice method, but it's not what I was looking for. Unfortunately there are not the same settings as the illustrator tool and I also noticed that it does not respect the distances with the original composition. When exporting to PDF the pattern is not rendered and I had to rasterize it to view it. Bitmap.pdf
danydidi94
Also I cannot use the SVG format with Bitmap and it does not give me the possibility to prepare the position of the pattern.
Chris Heath
In Affinity Designer, you can use Symbols to create editable seamless patterns. You can have many instances of the same symbol laid out however you like (brick pattern, half-drop,etc). Anything you add to an instance, modify, or delete from within an instance of the symbol is immediately reflected in every other instance of the symbol. Basically you can watch the entire pattern change in real-time while making changes to one instance of a symbol. Here is an example of using Symbols to creating a border pattern. https://www.dropbox.com/s/rpyz31gnizqke3o/C02 L02 Symbols NZ HB.mp4?dl=0 danydidi94 and Alfred 2 Quote You can: find my website here: www.geometrical.design buy fabric, wallpaper and home decor items that feature my work on Spoonflower join the Geometrical Design Secrets community on Facebook check my work out on Behance, and see me teaching at Geometrical Design School

danydidi94
Unfortunately my trial has expired and I cannot test the method. As soon as there is an offer for AD I will take it and test it again. Anyway, thank you for the information. If I can, I wanted to get AD feedback from you. Personally, being used to Illustrator I perceived AD more as a drawing software rather than for the creation of logos and mockups. I believe AD still has to grow a lot to compete with AI. Obviously it is just my very personal impression using AD in the test days and I absolutely do not want to disrespect the developers who are constantly working to improve the software.
