Eye dropper picking the right and wrong colour

Recommended Posts

I’m having an issue with my colour picker. I can use my colour picker on any colour on the page and it comes up with a different colour on the top right. The colour fills in correctly in the object, however. You can see the two different colours up the top. So, even when I use it to fill with the correct colour, if I click on any of the colour sliders and keep the same number, it changes to the colour in the upper right box.
It only changed recently and I don’t know what I did to make this kind of difference.

Please confirm:

  1. What you mean by the color picker? There is the Color Picker Tool in the Tools, or you could pick a color using a brush, or you might mean the color sampler (eye dropper) in the Color panel. That last one works differently from the others, intentionally.
  2. What you mean by the "upper right box"? In your screenshot, there are 3 color circles. 2 are in the Color Panel (Fill, and the one next to the color sampler) and the third (which looks "upper right" to me) mirrors the Fill color.

@Ohicy I wanted to confirm the general workflow for using the colour picker from the Colour studio please let me know if yours differs from it.

Tap hold and select colour, this will populate the colour pot to the right of the picker icon.

At this point you can tap the Fill/Stroke icons to focus switch one to apply the new colour to. Once decided you tap the colour pot next to the picker icon

Because this is now the active colour the icon for the Colour Studio (underneath the Hide UI icon) will also update.
