RegiesOpal Posted December 2, 2021 Posted December 2, 2021 OMG... There is NOTHING that I can find on how to lay out a full 'letter' size sheet of business cards to print. Every tutorial out there seems to ignore the fact that after design one might want to print more than one card so they all leave out the last step of how to create a layout in order to print and cut your new business card.. My cards have a white background and I use them in an art gallery for titles and prices. So each card is same size but different wording. there doesn't seem to be a template built into the program with pre-set grids for card placements. Maybe no-one actually makes business cards with affinity?? I am seriously frustrated and perplexed. Help would be very very welcomed! Thx! Regina Quote

Joachim_L Posted December 2, 2021 Posted December 2, 2021 Welcome to the Affinity forums @RegiesOpal! In the printing dialogue have a look at the dropdown Model and change it to N-Up. dvoth 1 Quote ------ Windows 10 | i5-8500 CPU | Intel UHD 630 Graphics | 32 GB RAM | Latest Retail and Beta versions of complete Affinity range installed

If I have understood you correctly, you want business cards that always have the same basic text and additionally a variable text for the product description? The easiest way to do this is to use the Publisher's data merging function. You only have to create a text-based data file. The semicolon should be used as the data separator. It could look like this: Product;Price;Quantity;Unit Data1;5,252;1;pcs. Data2;1.25;1.5;lbs. . . . Each product is listed in a separate line The preparatory work is a little more time-consuming, but the subsequent adjustment is then quicker because only the variable data need to be changed, if necessary. I have created a demo file for you. And here is, I think, a comprehensive introduction to data merge DataMergeDemo.zip Edited December 2, 2021 by Komatös New Zip with additions Old Bruce 1 Quote MAC mini M4 | MacOS Sequoia 15.3.1 | 16 GB RAM | 256 GB SSD AMD Ryzen 7 5700X | INTEL Arc A770 LE 16 GB | 32 GB DDR4 3200MHz | Windows 11 Pro 24H2 (26100.3194) Affinity Suite V 2.5.7 & Beta 2.6 (latest) Interested in a free (selfhosted) PDF Solution?
