JimOfOakCreek Posted November 20, 2021 Posted November 20, 2021 I found this bug by accident. If you click on "About" then click on "Check For Updates" (without closing the "About" Window) you cannot close the "About" Window nor the "Check For Updates" Window. Affinity Photo 1.10.4 Quote

Affinity Photo 1.10.4 I can confirm this behavior. Forced quit of the program is necessary. Old Bruce Posted November 20, 2021 Posted November 20, 2021 Try hitting the return or enter key to close the Checking window. The 'About' window is covering up the button that needs to be clicked, you could use the mouse to drag that window off to the side and click on the button. EDIT: Less than clear, use the mouse to drag the window from behind the 'About' window. The one that is showing just the Photo Icon. Dan C Posted November 21, 2021 Posted November 21, 2021 Hi @JimOfOakCreek, Thanks for your report! As Old Bruce has mentioned above, the 'Check for Updates' dialog is opening behind the 'About' Window - meaning you should be able to either move the update checker dialog to a position where you can see the dialog, or you can simply hit the enter key to close the dialog behind the 'About' splash screen to avoid having to force close / restart the app. However, this certainly isn't ideal behaviour and could absolutely be improved, so I'll log this with our developers now I hope this helps! JimOfOakCreek Posted November 21, 2021 Author Posted November 21, 2021 This behavior is not earth shattering, just a minor annoyance. It’s great to see such quick response from the Serif support team. Dan C 1 Quote
