RedSnapper Posted November 17, 2021 Posted November 17, 2021 Since version 1.10 was released the performance has retrograded. I often get the message "Not Responding" and it does not complete the task. I have to use the Task Manger to kill the process. I also get squares appearing on the images when it's slow to complete the rendering.
Staff stokerg Posted November 18, 2021 Staff Posted November 18, 2021 Hi @RedSnapper, Thanks for the screenshot. Can you go back into Preferences and untick 'Enable OpenCL'. Then close Preferences and restart Affinity and try using the app again.
henryg Posted November 18, 2021 Posted November 18, 2021 I had exactly the same problem and got the same advice here! BUT an extra 8gb of ram (to 16gb) and it now seems stable, inc with using hardware acceleration. Further testing required, but at least it's no longer freezing every time I use it.
