Once I get the message I can't save the file anywhere but since the new release the problem has not occurred so far.

I have used the canon scan facility to scan a document and it savedsit as pdf. I open the pdf in Photo v2. I have rotated clockwise. I have opened the pdf in Publisher but can't change the orientation to landscape and it has created two layers. In each case I can't edit the text. I welcome advice on how I can alter the text. I have done that and it works but that's an extra step in the workflow and a real pain.

I open a file on my nas but when I try and save it on the same same I get error message. There is over 700 gb space available. see attached. Anyone know why I keep getting these message. I tried saving to a usb drive with plenty of space and got the same message.

I have just spent about 40 minutes editing an image and the App crashes. I relaunched the App and there is no recovery file so I have to start again. This happens far too frequently. Please Affinity sort this out.

I try to Save As a file *.aphoto on a nas drive and get a message not enough space to save *.CR3 file. The device has 890 GB of free space. I check the folder and it has has saved a file but when I try and open it I get the message type not supported. Also the filename is not it same as the name I tried to save it with. e.g file name xxx_yyyy_zzzz_JOA0716.aphoto but saved _JOA0716.aphoto Anyone know what is happening here and why it's trying to save a raw (cr3) file.

I created a video to show that when trying to launch Affinity Photo from the list of Apps nothing happens. I also right click App click More and click Pin to Taskbar and nothing happened. I just did as above above again snd it worked. I have no idea why it stopped working and no idea why it now works. Thanks for all the help and advice anyway. 20231016_132908.mp4

In faststone I execute a script. StartAfiinity2.bat. It contains "start /b affinityphoto2.exe %1 exit" This is the only way I can launch the app. exit I did right click on a file Open with Affinity Photo 2" and nothing happens. I have reinstalled the base version and when it opens it wants to upgrade 2.1. I click Yes and when it finishing installing it crashes. I repeat the process and it wants to upgrade to 2.2 again when it finishes installing it crashes. I launch again by running the script and did some editing but when I ran a macro it crashed. I turned OFF Hardware Acceleration and it made no difference. I still have beta 2.2 installed. I guess that can be uninstalled now?

The only way that I can launch the App is from Faststone Viewer.

Windows 11 Photo v2 keeps crashing during editing. Today it crashed and now won't relaunch from the taskbar. I tried launching from the Apps list and that doesn't work either. So, now I can't use it. Any ideas now to resolve this problem, Thanks.

There is no Studio under Windows but there is Snapshots. i've clicked that and the panel has appeared Thank you.

In v1 when removing unwanted object i create a new pixel layer and select the clone tool and current layer and below. I then remove the unwanted object. If I over do it I lower the opacity and use the erase brush to bring back the bit I overwrote. I try to do the same in v2 but it tells me I can only use the erase brush on a snapshot. I can't find where/ how to create a snapshot. I look in the View menu and there is no Studio option. Please advise. Thanks.

I am trying to select an area that includes someone's hair. I use Refine to cover the sticky out bits and it appears that they have been selected in the red overlay but when I Apply there are not selected. Any ideas what I am doing wrong? Thanks.

I Open a raw file in Develop Persona and go to Overlays. Show Edge is Off, Show Overlay is Off, Show all layers is ON. I paint the Overlay. The Overlay is shown in RED. It shows regardless if the Show Overlay box is ticked or not. Sometimes painting the overlay and showing the overlay is not instant. There is often a delay. I then now go to Basic or any other Tab and Affinity Photo closes. It only closes after I have painted the overlay. When I launch Photo again the delay in painting the overlay and it showing is reduced and is often instant.

I don't understand what is happening. Previously there was no brush to do a refine and the various Preview options did nothing. So, this time I set snap to edges on, Clicking refines does lets me refine the edges but when I Apply it highlights areas all over the image.

I am trying to replace the off-white section at the top of the picture with black. V1 did a good job, The selection tool picked the off-white area very well and the Refine tuned it. I then flooded it with black. But I wasn't happy where the guys hair against the new background. It didn't look natural when enlarged. So I tried to do the same in v2 hoping it would do a better job. V2 was awful. It didn't a very poor job of selecting the off-white area. When I hit refine the selection ants disappeared and refine did nothing. Changing the preview did nothing and the brush to refine the edges also disappeared. Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

Thanks Walt. I created a bat file and I can now link to Faststone Viewer to v2 but the solution doesn't work for Photolab5 because it's looking for a *.exe.

Using *. msi and installing in WindowsApps folder prevents Photo being linked to other apps. I use Faststone Viewer and now can't edit in V2 using the "Edit in External Program" option. Is there a workaround for this problem? I have also tried linking it to PhotoLab5, same problem.

You can change the background and a lot of other things in Edit >>>>> Preferences>>>> User Interface.

Yes. because in shows the error message when I try and access the exe.
