a.k.a.eric Posted November 16, 2021 Posted November 16, 2021 After I finished the design, I could not export or print the file. Anything’s wrong? 2020-tiger.afdesign Quote
Wosven Posted November 16, 2021 Posted November 16, 2021 HI @a.k.a.eric and welcome to the forum. Did you work with or from one of the samples provided by Affinity? Your document is restricted and prevent copying or embedding. a.k.a.eric 1 Quote
a.k.a.eric Posted November 17, 2021 Author Posted November 17, 2021 @Wosven, Thank you so much. The original pdf source which I used must be prevented. It didn’t show any locks or signs, I thought it was my problem of the device. Quote
Wosven Posted November 17, 2021 Posted November 17, 2021 Sorry for you, it's really a nice illustration, you'll have to redraw it. a.k.a.eric 1 Quote

As far as I know, the kind of lock that is shown for your document only happens when you start withh one of the sample files provided with the Affinity applications. a.k.a.eric 1 Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. Have no ideas why i could edit it but not export or print it. I add the original pdf file. CNT-0023828-01.pdf Quote

Here we have a perfect counter example. The file is shown as “read-only” in Acrobat (on iPad), and Affinity refuses to export, print, copy layers etc. It is not nice from Affinity to not show the protected status of PDF files, but allows to edit them. Another small UI trap. walt.farrell and a.k.a.eric 2 Quote Mac mini M1 A2348 | MBP M3 Windows 11 - AMD Ryzen 9 5900x - 32 GB RAM - Nvidia GTX 1080 LG34WK950U-W, calibrated to DCI-P3 with LG Calibration Studio / Spider 5 | Dell 27“ 4K iPad Air Gen 5 (2022) A2589 Special interest into procedural texture filter, edit alpha channel, RGB/16 and RGB/32 color formats, stacking, finding root causes for misbehaving files, finding creative solutions for unsolvable tasks, finding bugs in Apps.
