NotMyFault
Hi, some users struggle with circles made of ellipse tool, as it it is not a perfect circle: The radius differs depending on angle. If you rotate the circle by 45°, there is a small deviation of about 1/5000. This could be too much for critical work. The issue is caused by ellipses using Bezier curves with only 4 nodes. As a drop-in replacement, i created a curve using more nodes. In all my tests, it is 100% rotation invariant. You can find the shape in the attached asset file. Updated asset file 2021-09-30 The old file had one superfluous node in the middle of the circle, leading to issues when using geometric operations like add/subtract. Please re-download the corrected version. Corrected assets use gray fill color. Added a donut with 50% inner circle for convenience. NotMyFault
By chance i found some discussion on hacker news discussing the fundamental underlying issue. https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=37575377 It explains that all vector apps have this issue, and recommends the same workarounds i gave 2 years ago which are still valid.
