Staff Sean P Posted September 2, 2021 Staff Share Posted September 2, 2021 Thanks for letting us know. We do have several Expand Stroke issues logged with development. However it would be very helpful if you could include the files shown in your screenshots. These sorts of issues are very file specific, so it can be very tricky to reproduce exactly what you're seeing.

Staff Sean P Posted September 2, 2021 Staff Share Posted September 2, 2021 Thanks for that can reproduce that here - I'll get that passed on to development to investigate.
BelAffinity
I'm wondering if this is a bug too as the stroke doesn't turn out the same before and after expanding? expandstroke.flv

mvaari
Our company also has a big issue with expanding curves. We're silk printing basically all of our products and in every step setting up the printing data we have to expand our curves. But in a lot of situations, especially since v.1.7.X this bug has been stuck with us. I've noticed that this problem occurs after a text has been transformed into curves and then a small stroke (middle aligned) being expanded & then subtracted from the text… Edited October 26, 2021 by mvaari additional information added
dschiller
Are there any news if that is fixed or will be fixed in the future ?

dschiller
Hey Patrick, thank you for the answers! Can you point us to the page for the Known Issues ?! And do you know how many month it will take to fix it ? And it is also unclear if the development is investigating only or already started to fix it or if it is still in backlog or closed as "won't be done". Thank's a lot! There is no list of known issues. I cannot say when the new code will be released, sorry. The development changes is making big improvements to the expand stroke code, but with all heavy maths code like this there are often edge cases that are more difficult to get prefect, so I hope most users see a their use cases producing better results than at present.
