mortenosx
HI, I use fontexplorer x pro for all my fonts. And it works great with indesign ect. But some fonts are missing in publisher. What to do here? It is MorganSNOffice as a postscript font. Restart, deactivate and reactivate ect. Nothing helps 🤔
GarryP
The fonts in the Font Manager – your last attached image – are only those which are used in the document which is currently being edited. If you want us to see that the font cannot be selected for use then you need to show us an image of a font selector where the font is not listed where you expect it to be – see attached image. Note: I’m not an expert in fonts but you might want to see if you can get OpenType versions of those fonts if possible as Postscript fonts may not be well-supported in the future. mortenosx
@GarryP yes I know that - but I still don't have all the new versions. Way to many postscripts 😞

iconoclast
As far as I know, also Adobe quits the support of Type-1-fonts,or has already done it, because this font-file-format is qualified as outdated.
GarryP
Thanks for the extra image. Can you just check and see that the font isn’t listed in the font selector in an unexpected place, such as near the top or bottom of the list? There might be a chance that the name reported by the font is being sorted in a strange way by the software. If it’s not that then I will have to bow out as the discussion will have exceeded my font know-how limits.
mortenosx
@GarryP No, i tryed that and different fonts, with strange names 😞
Alfred
The list in your first screenshot includes ‘MorganSnOffice’. The second screenshot shows that ‘Morgan Sn Office’ (with spaces in the name) is missing, but that’s not the same font. mortenosx
@Alfred the first image is from fontexplorer - I have the font in postscript 1. Thats the problem. And yes - MorganSnOffice / Morgan Sn Office is the same.

And yes - MorganSnOffice / Morgan Sn Office is the same. Do you have more than one version of the fonts installed? Perhaps a different format. Because I am looking at the Type 1 PS fonts from 2000 and none of them have spaces in any of the name fields. Also the MorganSnOffice Regular font has name issues which can cause problems. Both the PostScript Name and the Full Name are just MorganSnOffice. Not MorganSnOffice-Regular as it should be. Since MorganSnOffice is the same as the Family Name and Style Group apps can get confused. Perhaps MyFonts is also confused by this - it is missing the Office Regular in the font list. It may be that they did not fix this before converting to the TTF fonts which are on MyFonts. I will send you some fixed test fonts via PM. You cannot have both versions of the MorganSnOffice fonts installed at the same time. That will cause name issues for sure. So un-install the old fonts first, then install the test fonts. Do this while the Affinity apps are closed. So give the test fonts a try and let us know if that fixes the issue.

The fonts could have been named differently in updated fonts (TTF or OTF) used in the doc. And when it was imported these names do not match your old fonts. Normally the names displayed will have spaces (these days).
