Hi

The designer no longer accepts decimal places. See the images. When opening the file everything is fine. As soon as I mark the number and press enter, the dot disappears. What am I doing wrong?

Welcome to the forum @Christoph P

Can you explain a little bit more about what you do when you “mark the number and press enter”?
I only ask so we are clear about exactly what you are doing.
I note in your examples that the decimal point has been removed from within the number in the field, which seems unusual.
Selecting a field that has 677.3 in it and simply pressing enter shouldn’t leave you with 6773 (without the original decimal point).

It's a know issue that the number fields don't accept the comma on the numeric keypad as decimal separator when the software is set to "German". The comma is not recognised as decimal separator but as thousands separator as used in English language.

I have reported this issue several times since 2014 but it hasn't been fixed yet.

You need to use the full stop / dot from the text part of the keyboard for this to work.

Thank you Jens Krebs and GarryP

Thanks for your help. I was able to solve the problem now. I had to change the keyboard language to German (Germany) and then back to the original language, German (Switzerland).

Have a nice Sunday

Best regards

My laptop system is Windows 10 in French (France) and I use the three Affinity (v.1.10) applications in English.
I still use the numeric keypad so I don't know if there was a change in v.1.10, but the keyboard comma is not accepted, as reported by @Christophe P.

Thanks for the updates -- didn't know it was working now, because so far it has never worked for me (system language English, software in German).
