wsouligny Posted August 8, 2021 Posted August 8, 2021 I can't find the update frequency check box on my iMac in the Preferences tab. Since my version of Affinity hasn't updated to the 1.10 version when I opened it, I assume the box (wherever it is) is set to never update. Quote

If you purchased from the Mac App Store the Preference would be in the Settings for the App Store. If when you open an Affinity app on a Mac, there is no "Check for updates" item in the app name menu (the one immediately to the right of the Apple menu in the menu bar) then your app came from the Mac App Store & there will be no Software Update item in the Affinity app's preferences. If you can't find either item then as @walt.farrell said, you need to check the Software Update settings in your macOS System Preferences As shown here, if the circled preference is not enabled, your App Store apps will not automatically be installed. walt.farrell 1 Quote All 3 1.10.8, & all 3 V2.5.7 Mac apps; 2020 iMac 27"; 3.8GHz i7, Radeon Pro 5700, 32GB RAM; macOS 10.15.7 All 3 V2 apps for iPad; 6th Generation iPad 32 GB; Apple Pencil; iPadOS 15.7
