I recently purchased Affinity Designer. When I try to install the tool I receive this message - Supported Windows version not found.

I am using Windows 10

I am frustrated that I am unable to take advantage of the purchase

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums, @Avhurengwi.

What version of Windows 10 are you running?

Can you give us a screenshot of

  • the window that the "winver" command provides (run it from a command prompt), or
  • click the Windows Start icon, type About, and then click on About Your PC and give us a screenshot of the Windows Specifications part of the display.

Hi!

I have just re-installed Windows 10 on my laptop and I am getting the same error message. I currently have the software on my desktop and it's running without a problem. I also had it on my laptop before with Windows 11 and no problem. Any hep, please? Thanks.

The information I suggested above would help with the diagnosis, if you're having the same problem.

Hello

I have the same problem with Affinity Photo, Affinity Designer and Affinity Publisher. I've just installed Windows 10 Home on a brand new SSD. I can't install the programs. I get the message "supported windows version not found. I used to work with Wndows 7 Pro without any problem.

I have a desktop computer 4GB Intel Core i7-2600 @3,40GHz

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums.

Exactly what release of Windows 10 do you have? This can find that from the winver command issued in a Windows command prompt window.

Windows 10 Home version 10.0 (build 10240)

You need to update your Windows installation. That version is from 2015; you need a 2019 version or later. You should be able to update via Start > Windows Settings > Update and Security.

A 2016 version should suffice, in theory, but I wouldn’t recommend it!
