Avhurengwi Posted August 6, 2021 Posted August 6, 2021 I recently purchased Affinity Designer. When I try to install the tool I receive this message - Supported Windows version not found. I am using Windows 10 I am frustrated that I am unable to take advantage of the purchase Quote
walt.farrell Posted August 6, 2021 Posted August 6, 2021 Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums, @Avhurengwi. What version of Windows 10 are you running? Can you give us a screenshot of the window that the "winver" command provides (run it from a command prompt), or click the Windows Start icon, type About, and then click on About Your PC and give us a screenshot of the Windows Specifications part of the display. PhotoSurgeon20 Posted September 19, 2021 Posted September 19, 2021 Hi! I have just re-installed Windows 10 on my laptop and I am getting the same error message. I currently have the software on my desktop and it's running without a problem. I also had it on my laptop before with Windows 11 and no problem. Any hep, please? Thanks. Quote

The information I suggested above would help with the diagnosis, if you're having the same problem. This can find that from the winver command issued in a Windows command prompt window. That version is from 2015; you need a 2019 version or later. You should be able to update via Start > Windows Settings > Update and Security. A 2016 version should suffice, in theory, but I wouldn’t recommend it! walt.farrell 1 Quote Alfred Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for Windows • Windows 10 Home/Pro Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for iPad • iPadOS 17.5.1 (iPad 7th gen)
