Hans Chiu Posted July 10, 2021 Posted July 10, 2021 I Found 2 GUI bug in Designer, and it's probably related to GPU/OpenCL. BUG 1 - GUI disappear when hovering When I open Designer, this is what happen when I hover on the menu bar Menu item disappears when mouse hovers on it, and unable to click. But I am able to execute the function using keyboard, by arrow keys and enter key. all other GUI like text field, buttons are also buggy and behaves strangely. walt.farrell Posted July 10, 2021 Posted July 10, 2021 For bug 1, plesae check the list of 3rd-party applications that cause problems. Several users have had issues with disappearing UI items that seem to be explained by other applications they have installed: I might suggest starting with ASUS Sonic / MSI Nahemic from that list. Hans Chiu Posted July 10, 2021 Author Posted July 10, 2021 @walt.farrell Thank you for the suggestion! I don't have any program in the list installed, but both bug 1 and 2 are fixed by closing ASUS GPU Tweak III program, I think this is the solution, it's repeatable by open/close ASUS GPU Tweak III. walt.farrell 1 Quote
Staff Sean P Posted July 13, 2021 Staff Posted July 13, 2021 Hi Hans Chiu, Thanks for letting us know and glad you've managed to sort it out! I've had a little look at the GPU Tweak 3 application and I believe it is specifically the OSD option that is causing the menus to act weirdly. It seems to overlay the information around that File Menu area, which is getting redraw when you hover near it, making the menu options disappear. Disabling this OSD in the GPU Tweak stopped that for me. Unfortunately I only have a single monitor connected right now so wasn't able to replicate the crash. Mark Ingram and Hans Chiu 2 Quote
