applying a liquify live filter to an object with an outer shadow causes shadow clipping

Recommended Posts

My apologies if this has already been reported , I did search and couldn't find anything.

When I add an outer shadow to an item and the add a liquify live filter the shadow gets clipped off.   if I add the liquify first I get the same thing.  The only way I can get the effect to work is to rasterize the object with the shadow before applying the liquify filter, which makes the process destructive.

This is not only an error with liquify but it also occurs with perspective distortion. The shadow is not scaled when the distortion goes beyond the source frame.

To reproduce: Create a graphic text, use the "shadow out" effect. Create a live filter layer "Perspective".  Move the corner points so that they protrude beyond the side boundaries of the parent object.

Addendum:

I have now tested some things and it seems that it only affects graphic and frame text
