FrayingCanvas
Hi, as title says. Pixel brushes are respecting pressure, whereas vector brushes don't. Thanks, Mo affinity-des-pressure-bug.mp4
Staff Sean P Posted February 16, 2021 Staff Share Posted February 16, 2021 Hi FrayingCanvas, The Controller on the Context Toolbar is set to 'None'. If you set this to 'Automatic', 'Brush Defaults' or 'Pressure' you should find you'll get the brush functioning with pressure.
FrayingCanvas
Hi Sean, as you can see in the recording, the controller indeed _is_ set to "Pressure" (check 0:13). This is also visible in the "stroke preview" icon, which goes from thin to thick. It does not do that if the controller is "None".
Staff Sean P Posted February 16, 2021 Staff Share Posted February 16, 2021 The brush controller is set to Pressure, but the actual Tool is set to None - this will override the brush preset. See the screenshot below. You can set this to use the Brush Defaults (in this case Pressure) or override that to something of your choice:
FrayingCanvas
Thanks, Sean. Hadn't seen that additional controller. Seems the default setting has changed or the dropdown is new?
DM1
@Sean P hi Sean, any reason why the brush menu Controller setting doesn’t simply default to the Brush Defaults setting? Wouldn’t that enable pressure if brush has a pressure setting? Seems silly to default to None. iuli 1 Quote M1 IPad Air 10.9/256GB lpadOS 17.1.1 Apple Pencil (2nd gen).
