mbert Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Sometimes I need to expand an image to change its ratio. In gimp I would use the "Canvas Size" function first and then "Layer to image size". In Affinity Photo I have been able to resize the canvas but found no option to change layer sizes. Am I missing something? Quote
Staff Callum Posted September 28, 2015 Staff Posted September 28, 2015 Hi Mbert, Welcome to the Forums :) If you go to Document > Resize Document it will resize your image as well as your Canvas. I hope this helps :) C Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP.
David Edge Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 Hi Callum I have a similar problem and am not sure Resize Document is the answer. I want to superimpose one photo over another, but the front layer is too big - I want to reduce that in size so it has the correct proportions to make the montage. David Quote
David Edge Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 Hmmmm; OK, found it, it's the Move tool. d. Nicole 1 Quote
Mignolyx Posted February 1, 2021 Posted February 1, 2021 I cannot find any solution to give to each layer the same overall size as the actual document. I need this function to export parts of image, being the same size, to recompose perfectly in video editor software. Can you help me? Quote
John Rostron Posted February 1, 2021 Posted February 1, 2021 A workaround is to stack the layers as you want them and then apply the crop tool. However the crop tool is non-destructive so you need to trim. Unfortunately you need to apply the Rasterize and Trim action to each layer individually. IU found this out by trial and error!
