WendoverMan
Hi I have downloaded the free Snow Overlays by Paper Farms that came with AP 1.9. The category name shows in the Assets panel but each individual overlay such as hard blizzard cannot be seen in the side panel. The panel is just coloured grey. If I move the pointer around the panel a text description of a particular overlay shows but there is no graphic representation of it as there is with the Rainbow Overlays. How do I get them to show? Should I delete them and re-download? Thanks for any help.
Staff MEB Posted February 4, 2021 Staff Share Posted February 4, 2021 Hi @WendoverMan, I guess you are using the light interface? They are really barely visible there (fine with the dark interface). I will pass your feedback along to the dev team. Thanks for raising this up. Meanwhile if you click the small menu icon on the top of the Assets panel and select Show As List (or switch to the Dark Interface in Preferences) it may help. Aprils L8
From the user guide: Previewing Images As the Snow Overlays are white on a transparent background, they may appear as a completely white background when you preview them. If you want to be able to preview the files before importing them into Affinity try switching preview modes (e.g. “cover flow” preview mode on a Mac) or use the first page of this document as a quick reference guide MEB

I’ll check my interface.

I found a folder "AffinityExtras" on the Mac, but nothing new there, some previous downloads, but no "Rainbow Overlays by Paper Farms", none of the other v1.9 freebies either? Tried searching for "rainbow" nothing... Well??? How did you download them? 1. If you downloaded from the Affinity Store using your web browser they're wherever you downloaded them, and you need to install them. 2. If you used the new My Account feature in one of the applications, and the dialogue shows that they finished downloading, then they've been installed. If you expand the category in the My Account dialog, for example 35 Rainbow Overlays, you'll see it says afassets. You'll find them as one of the categories in the Assets panel (View > Studio > Assets).
