TommyBoy Posted January 25, 2021 Share Posted January 25, 2021 (edited) No matter how hard I try, I am still not able to edit NIKON Z6 II RAW files in the Affinity Photo. Exactly the same problem with NIKON Z50 RAW files. Already installed the Nikon NEF codec pack from the official website and also tried the Adobe DNG Converter. Still no luck. With the DNG plugin other software such as Zoner Photo Studio, XnView or Nikon Capture-NX can display and edit the Z50 RAW files, but the images are so hideous - under exposed, very grey and strangely coloured. Any idea how to fix this? All kinds of help heavily welcomed - thank you !!! The Nikon Z6 II is yet not supported by the Affinity engine (see here) and it's used libraw RAW library (see here). - The Nikon Z50 should be supported at least by the upcomming APh v.1.9.0 Win version (see here), which is currently in beta! The Z50 was released more than one year ago and still nothing???? Adobe and Capture One already support the new Z6/Z7 II ???? Are you for real ???????????? v_kyr Posted January 26, 2021 Share Posted January 26, 2021 If you followed the above references, you should have seen, that the Z50 is claimed to be supported in the APh v.1.9.0 beta version (you can give it a try). - Generally the APh RAW engine and thus APh RAW processing depends on an external libraw library resource and thus what cams that one supports in it's actual reused version! TommyBoy Posted January 28, 2021 Author Share Posted January 28, 2021 Neither Z6 II RAW files nor Z50 RAW files work in the beta. Z50 RAWs can be opened, but the exposure and colours are invalid. Serif are beholden to the LibRaw library, to support any new formats, which means that yes we are for real, it is not supported yet, sorry. hikerbikerwriter Posted February 5, 2021 Share Posted February 5, 2021 (edited) The Nikon Z5 Raw is also still not supported. But is supported in Apple's Photo app. I attached a file for testing. UPDATE: After running an update. It looks like the Z5 is in fact supported.
