MCA75
Hello! I am replicating my workflow from InDesign to Publisher and have a questions about imported linked PDF files. I import lots of PDF objects onto a page and InDesign trims all the white space automatically (similar to Publisher's rasterise and trim). This is enormously helpful and I can't find an equivalent in Publisher - when you import a PDF it shows the original 'whole page' bounding box. I could use the vector trim tool manually, but would like to know if it can be performed automatically each time I place a PDF element on the page? I've attached screenshots comparing both. Joachim_L
Welcome to the Affinity forums @MCA75! You can do this also in APublisher. But it is not done automatically, you have to select an option. Better this than cropping. Have a look at the attached image. Old Bruce
Ninja-ed by by Joachim. My example used grey coloured objects. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

Thanks a lot for the quick reply - I clicked on all those page box contents items except min/max(!) Brilliant, thank you. MCA75
As part of this work flow i can replace elements in inDesign by dragging in a new object on top of it - is there a similar method in Publisher?

I know there is a replace document dialogue, but i'm trying to replicate my old flow - motor memory and that!

Unfortunately not, drag and dropping objects will place these into your document as new layers and not replace any existing layers. As far as I know, the Replace Document dialog is the best way of doing this in Affinity, my apologies!
