Spare Channel context menu does not show up

Hello,

The Spare Channel context menu that should appear when I right-click on it, does not appear at all.

I'm creating luminosity masks, but I can't use them as pixel selection for masks from the context menu, (neither rename the spare channel)

I am using the last 1.8.6 version on MacOS 11.1, recently bought from the Mac App Store.

It could be that Big Sur is the culprit?

I would guess that, are you using (like I am) gestures on a trackpad or are you using the Control key and a mouse click to bring up the Context menu? Both work here.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6
Affinity Designer 2.5.5 | Affinity Photo 2.5.5 | Affinity Publisher 2.5.5 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

Control key and mouse, I have an iMac 4K.

Then I would agree with your guessing Big Sur is the source. There is a new Rosseta mode for running applications on Mac OS 11.1, that may help and if you are so inclined you could try out the new beta of Photo, it may work there.

As things stand I would say this is a bug.

Hi @PSW,
Welcome to Affinity Forums :)
This is a known issue that's already logged to be looked at. If you press and hold ctrl and click between the channel's thumbnail and the channel's label (in the Pixel Channel channel, closer to the thumbnail), closer the trash icon (in the Spare Channel channel) or above or below the channel's label in both cases (Pixel Selection or Spare Channel channels) it should display the contextual menu. This issue is not limited to Big Sur.
