BEARINMIND99
Hello Affinity Team, Since purchasing Affinity Designer last week, I have not had ANY color in my palette. It is -always- only black. No white. Just black. I have tried changing the color profile settings; it stays black in the color palette no matter what I choose! I have looked all over the Forum for the answers to my problem and I have found nothing in regards to this problem. Originally, I thought it was only black because it was a trial version?? But I really loved the interface and brush selection etc, so I went ahead and just bought a full license! There is still NO COLOR to choose. It is only black. I don't think white is even an option. This is not a "Monochromatic Iconography" issue. (I found many posts about it in the forum.) I will attach a few screenshots below. I have tried changing to ALL of the various "Color Profiles" with no luck. It is beyond my capability to understand. My computer is an Asus Zenbook Pro Duo i9-10980HK, 32GB RAM, Geforce RTX 2060 My current display driver is the Geforce Game Ready Driver: Version 457.30 Running 64bit Windows 10. Please help me, I look forward to hearing back from you, I really have no idea what to do. Best regards, - Archer

BEARINMIND99
I think I just fixed it.... FINALLY!!! I opened up "Color Management" in the start menu; I then had to add color profiles to the setup there... because there was only 1 initially. Once I found the sRGB profile, I then had to make it the default color selection. Picture below, the highlighted profile was the only one listed until I manually Added the others, and set the default to sRGB. I hope this helps someone in mental pain in the future! (Yesterday I had already looked in the Color Management settings, but I hadn't yet realized that you can add color profiles that are missing and still keep the original on the list!) 😭🙏 Jhani
Staff Sean P Posted February 12, 2021 Staff Share Posted February 12, 2021 Hi BEARINMIND99, Glad you found the solution - There certainly does seem to be something very wrong with that monitor profile. Would you mind attaching the dodgy profile it was using, i'd be interested in taking a look! Thanks,
tommicee
Hi BEARINMIND99! Thank you very much for posting the resolution to the forum! I have the ASUS ZenBook Duo too and had the exact same problem. So the problem seems to be related to these ASUS machines and their factory configuration. But anyways, you saved my day and I just wanted to say thank you! 🙃 Tommi GarryP
