skersh
If I save a file from Affinity Publisher to a folder that has been shared, the file does not inherit the permissions that have been granted to the folder. I then have to manually grant permissions for the file so that the person on the network can open it. This does not occur if I save a file for example from Word to the same folder - the word document will inherit the permissions that have been granted for the folder. If?? you are on windows go here: Quote Microsoft - Like entering your home and opening the stainless steel kitchen door, with a Popup: 'Do you really want to open this door'? Then looking for the dishwasher and finding it stored in the living room where you have to download a water supply from the app store, then you have to buy microsoft compliant soap, remove the carpet only to be told that it is glued to the floor.. Don't forget to make multiple copies of your front door key and post them to all who demand access to all the doors inside your home including the windows and outside shed. Apple - Like entering your home and opening the oak framed Kitchen door and finding the dishwasher right in front you ready to be switched on, soap supplied, and water that comes through a water softener. Ah the front door key is yours and it only needs to open the front door.
skersh
I am on Windows and I am aware of how to set security permissions. The problem is the computer (laptop) is on a home network and the folder where I save a file to has the security and permissions set to allow other users on other computers on the network Full Control. If i save a file on the laptop to that folder which has been given Full Access to other users from any other application the file is saved with the permissions that have been set for the folder, i.e. the other users have Full access. But if I save a file from Affinity the security permissions are limited to only the laptop, i.e. I am not able to even open the file from the other computer.
