Which characters terminate these lines?

Hi and welcome to the forums @Tom55,

To my knowledge we are stuck with that when placing a PDF, one thing you can do is to open the pdf and there is an option to organize the text into a better set of Paragraphs instead of discrete lines. This would mean copy and paste though.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6
Affinity Designer 2.5.5 | Affinity Photo 2.5.5 | Affinity Publisher 2.5.5 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums, Tom.

There are several ways you could "add your PDF" (or a Word document) to a Publisher document. Please provide more information on exactly what you did.

Thanks O.B.!  That's a great tip for Acrobat. I went back to my word document and am doing just what you suggest. Cutting and pasting the text page by page into Affinity. Luckily, this time it is a total of only 52 pages with images and text. So when I finish copying text I will go back to the image files and insert them.

Thank Walt. I use the  Document - Add pages from file. That's it. come in the same way from either Word or Acrobat.
