Finding the selected path in the layers panel ...

Hello all!

Hope you are safe wherever you are ...

I'm coming along pretty good with AD.  Learning new stuff every day.

Question about node selection and layers panel ...

I import an traced image and do a divide to break it down.

I usually end up with many layers!

My first task is to simplify it down by grouping and naming of the layers.

Sometimes, I can't find the layer for the path I have selected.

I scroll up and down in the panel list and sometimes can't find it.

I thought the layer should be highlighted when you select the path with the node tool.

And I thought that it might be the layer displayed in the panel list.

Just wanted to check to make sure I am doing this right.

Any thoughts on this?  Am I missing something or is this the way it is?

PS ... how do make my signature show up in my post?  I have one set up, but it doesn't show up.

You've probably set your "about me" text for your profile, but not your visible signature. You need to go to Account Settings... 

 

And then choose Signature:
