Mr_Ward
Hi everyone. I was wondering if there is a hotkey to switch from one layer to the next. So if I'm working on layer 1 for instance and I wanted to change to layer 2 is there a way to do this without having to click on the layer in the layer editor window? Dan C
Hi @Mr_Ward, Welcome to the forums Can you please confirm for me, which Affinity application are you using? Are you on Mac or Windows? Many thanks in advance!
Aad Slingerland
Guess not. I just made two macros named LayerDown and LayerUp and they can be invoked form the Macro panel. But this is pointles since we cannot assign a keybord shortcut to a macro AFIK.

The reason Dan had asked what application you are using was AD has this function while APh does not. In AD cmd + opt + [ moves to the next layer, with the cmd + opt + ] moving to the previous. Dan also asked if you are using a mac or windows, I'm on a mac so maybe windows is different (other than opt is replaced by an alt).
