Chezqui Posted November 8, 2020 Posted November 8, 2020 Hi AD I need a pointy end to a stroked path rather than a rounded or square. Any thoughts. It works with a corner but not a curve. I could convert to a corner but that would mean redrawing my beautiful curves. 2nd image is what happens in AI as an option. Quote
GarryP Posted November 8, 2020 Posted November 8, 2020 You could probably do what you want with arrowheads if they were actually drawn at the end of a curve rather than just before the end, as they are now. Note my attached image where the blue arrow shows the end of the red and black curves and the green arrow shows where the arrow head is drawn from (not what we see in the icon on the right where the head seems to be really at the end). As it is I can't think of a way to do what you want without modifying the curve in an unwanted manner. Quote
Old Bruce Posted November 8, 2020 Posted November 8, 2020 I think you want to play around with the Mitre: values. Quote Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6 Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
lepr Posted November 8, 2020 Posted November 8, 2020 To get the effect shown in your AI image, give the stroke a high mitre value. Quote

GarryP Posted November 8, 2020 Posted November 8, 2020 Sorry Chezqui, when you said you wanted a “pointy end” to a curve I thought you meant the end rather than the interior nodes. Quote
