George-Gele
I recieve some designs, in dxf format, be intrested to know how others prepare thier DXF files for import into Affinity Designer. It would be nice if Affinity Designer was able to read in a DXF file export from Autocad or other applications that produce them. I know that DXF is not a hot favorite as an export these days, I also know that it does not support the co-ordinate dimensions details but so long as the drawing unit is known ( Generally 1:1 ) its not an issue if scale is important. Also if a DWG file could be imported, though I understand that there maybe licensing issues for DWG.

Hello @George-Gele, I think you posted your question in the wrong forum. This forum here is about beta version issues in Affinity Designer. Not about questions about features that are not available yet. You may head over to the Affinity Designer forum and explicitly to this thread that discusses the lack of DXF support and the wish that AD does so 😉 In other words, AD currently does not support this file format. Cheers, d. Affinity Suite on Windows (V2) and iPad (V2). Beta testing when available.
