Neha
Hi Affinity Team, I am using Affinity Designer and Affinity Publisher in my work. I want to understand the legalities in using the free and paid fonts and photos and even icons (if any) available in affinity designer and affinity publisher software for my client work. Also, need to understand the legalities of the logo of the two softwares [For usage in my promotional work]. Kindly respond to my queries. Thank You! Best regards, Neha
Staff SFurniss Posted October 19, 2020 Staff Share Posted October 19, 2020 @Neha There are no fonts within the Affinity programs. All materials that are within the programs are provided with full commercial rights. You can view the full EULA here. You can access a downloadable press kit here. If you have any questions about the use of the these materials please contact our PR team by emailing pr@serif.com
RandallK
@SFurniss When you replied " There are no fonts within the Affinity programs. All materials that are within the programs are provided with full commercial rights." I am a little confused. I'm using Affinity Designer (1.8.3.641). When you click on the 'Artistic Text Tool' icon and begin to add text to the image, there are well over a hundred fonts to choose from within the program such as AgencyFB, Algerian, Ariel, Ariel Rounded MT Bold, just to name several of the first ones listed. Do these fonts come with full commercial rights for Affinity Designer & Affinity Publisher? Kind regards, Randall

Those fonts were not provided by the Affinity applications, but are simply fonts that the application found installed on your computer. They may be delivered with your OS, or with some other application, or they may be fonts you purchased and installed. dannyg9 1 Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU.
