Just out of interest, if you don't use any of the existing preset sizes, which sizes do you use and for which reason(s)?
I only ask as other people might want to use the same sizes as yourself - for the same or similar reasons - so it might be possible to get them added to the list.

It'd be totally custom. In my design I tend to work in phases, so I'd use sizes starting at some base, then increasing by the golden or silver ratio. But the base would change by project or phase or whim.

I'll just get used to typing the font size number in. The drop downs are a mite fussy so clicking and then typing is sometimes problematic; it selects the whole field, or selects only the unit, or just drops the cursor in the middle somewhere.

Interesting; I’ve never heard of anyone specifying font sizes this way before.
That doesn’t mean it’s wrong in any way, just that I’ve never come across it.

I think you may need to manually enter your font sizes but, as a tip that you might already know, you can enter, for example, “ *1.618 ” (without the quotes), into the font size field to get the software to calculate the new size by multiplying the existing value by 1.618. That might make things a bit easier for you.

I’ve never had the selection problem you mention (on Windows 10) so I can’t help with that unfortunately.

Most of the fields (sadly not all but I checked the font size field and my advice works there) will allow you to click and then use the up/down keyboard arrow to increase or decrease to an integer value (14.2 will increase to 15) and then the entire field is selected and you can type your desired size. GarryP's advice is useful here too, once the value is increased and whole field is highlighted type in the font size and the multiplication value replacing the highlighted value.

Affinity Designer 2.5.5 | Affinity Photo 2.5.5 | Affinity Publisher 2.5.5 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
