Bug Report iPadOS 14 - Opening Settings < Fonts crashes app

Device: iPad Pro 11 2020

Affinity Designer Version 1.8.4

iPadOS 14 Beta and iPadOS 14 (Issue is not present on any version of iPadOS 13)

Going into settings and trying to access the fonts section immediately causes the app to close to Home Screen. This is 100% repeatable on my end. Not sure how to send logs but it’s an issue I think should be fixed urgently if possible

Thank you

HI @theromfather As @DM1 said above, unfortunately this is a known issue that is caused by the new ios14 update on the iPad. Assessing fonts from Settings will cause this so until we can get an update the best option is to unfortunately just avoid this setting.

Thank you, I tried searching couldn't find the issue mentioned but glad it's known and being worked on! Thanks again!

We have made fixes/improvements to this area (Adding a font into the Apps will cause iOS 14 to crash) of the program in the latest release.

The fixes and how to update are described in these forum posts.

We would appreciate you checking that this issue has now been resolved for you.

The builds also address these 2 iOS 14 issues

  • Colour sliders dialog relocates when you make changes on iOS 14.
  • Support for Scribble
