Here is a screenshot of my drawing (Capture1.jpg). This is boxed text. When I export to PNG only the selection of my drawing (Selection without background), the background of each of my letters of the text appears as shown in the second image (test.png).
If you have a solution, thank you.

First of all I would like to thank you for your response. I managed to import some text as PNG without having the white background of the text. I am a brand new user of AD but I believe there is a bug in the software.
Here is what I did to correct the bug.
- First I created a new page the size of my drawing (8.5 x 7 inches) with this time a transparent background.
- I make my drawing with the text.
- I save the entire document in PNG. (File> Export> PNG> Whole document)
I then import my drawing into another software (Sketchup) to perform a mapping and everything works fine.
But if I do the following:
- I only make the selection of my drawing (Command + A)
- Then I save> File> Export> PNG> Selection without background
So a white background is behind my text.
I remain available for further explanations.
Thank you and good day

Not entirely certain what it is you are wanting here. I am assuming that you want the text to have a shadow with no white 'paper tape' behind the letters.

Some how the text in your document "Mapping2 Rev......" is afflicted with this. I copied the text in you Designer Document and pasted it into a text editing program. I rest the default for the text by hitting the weird little reset defaults button. This got rid of the paper tape effect/affect. I then set the Newley pasted text as best I could in terms of font and size etc. Mostly wrong.

Here is the PNG I exported and the changed Designer Document. I have turned off two layers, you can delete the one I added (it is just the text pasted in from the editor) and you can probably select the other one from your original file as I added the effect to the 'clear' text I added.

New Folder.zip contains PNG and Designer document.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6
Affinity Designer 2.5.5 | Affinity Photo 2.5.5 | Affinity Publisher 2.5.5 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

@Dan49 you have created (or imported) text with a white background. To get around the problem you've changed the blend modes for the text layers to multiply, which can be okay in this case (since the type isn't black there's probably a small color shift, but I digress).

The problem: For some reason the Multiply blend isn't honored on the Select All export No Background.

To stop the issue in the first place...
Change the blends back to normal and in the Characters panel change the white background to Null (box with diagonal red line).

(Side note: You might not need a whole separate layer for the text blur (which should probably be underneath the none blurred text btw). Just use a drop shadow on the one text layer should be fine)

Many thanks Old Bruce for your response. English is not my mother tongue, so I more or less understood your solution. I had it translated by Google, but without success. I opened your New Folder.zip attachment and it works fine. I will still try to figure out your solution when time permits.

In the meantime, I received another response from Jimmy Jack which solved my problem.

Thanks for your help.

I have received your solution, Jimmy, and thank you for it. It worked very well. You introduced me to the Character window that I didn't know about. I made a rookie mistake saying AD had a bug! For the Drop Shadow in the text, I had tried with the options in Ad on the same layer but I can't get the result I want. I will try again this time with a null background in the Character window Big thank you and have a nice day
