Smart object question

Hey guys,

maybe you can help me out here.

I‘ve bought some psd smart object because I read that you can also some them in affinity. I was watching some tutorials on youtube and everthing went well. But I just wanted to import some new stuff but it‘s not working anymore. Somehow it‘s not correct imported. I recorded my screen to show you what I mean.

Do you have any idea whats wrong?

Under preferences, make sure you have enabled smart object import.

Eh... that is what I was doing in that video before I imported the file...

Sorry, I happened to look on a Windows 10 PC which I rarely use these days so didn't actually even notice the video. There is another PSD setting above, not so important though. Could you show what is in the layers studio as so far your video doesn't actually show any obvious PSD import problem, what did you expect to see?

Sure, when you look at the window when I selected the file you can actually the a ˋrealˋ preview what it is supposed to be. After opening it it looks different

Ok, managed to eventually freeze the frame to see what it was supposed to look like. Looks quite different so I guess there must be something extra in those files which Affinity is perhaps not compatible with. All I can suggest is you upload one of them for the developers to look at next week.

You can upload files to any post but since I guess these are copyright so might be best to wait for Serif support Monday morning to give the latest Dropbox location. @Patrick Connor
