sb101 Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 Is there any draw back setting "outline" view in publisher via the studiolink designer-module and working on back in publisher afterwards? I can set even split display in the designer module (eg. outline/vector) and use that by switching back to publisher -- will this be possible in publisher directly, as I don't know how to swich fast between eg. outline and vektor without the round trip to designer just for the view settings ... "outline"... greets s. Quote
sb101 Posted September 3, 2020 Author Posted September 3, 2020 the correct word in german in either "Umrissansicht" or "Pfadansicht". "Drahtgitter" is common for "3D" models. s. thomaso 1 Quote
Staff DWright Posted September 6, 2020 Staff Posted September 6, 2020 HI @sb101, You are not able to do this directly in the Publisher Persona it can only be done within the Designer Persona Quote
sb101 Posted September 9, 2020 Author Posted September 9, 2020 yes, thx. it's a little bit complicated to change the personas every time to change to outline. Quote

I think I understand the motivation for a clear distinction between the applications, but you need to buy APu and AD to make use of the ViewModeGroup in the toolbar in the Designer Persona? If this is the case, where would be the problem to have access to this toolbar option? Or think of all the people complaining about AD not having hyphenation. They can make use of it if APu is installed, but the options are still missing in the Paragraph panel of AD. Wouldn't it be a motivation to buy both with the promise the applications to be more versatile? sb101 Posted September 10, 2020 Author Posted September 10, 2020 (I've all three apps, but it's too complicated) the same applies to eg. cmyk-"channels" (which are only available in "photo"). if I use cmyk and want to see the channels separated I've to go to photo and switch the chans on and off. If one forgets to switch one channel on/off, it's hard to track down the road to photo>channels>ON>back to publisher ... separation preview / spot color prev. / overprint preview are all "dtp functions" ... thx s Quote
