Nita Reed
Clone tool: when I alt+ click, a + is left on the location. When I click on the area that I wish to place the cloned portion...no cloned portion. However...I noticed that the + that was placed on the sample location now moves in tandem with my mouse

Nita Reed
Watched that, thanks. Mine isn't working like that, though.
AffinityJules
Can you provide a screen shot with the tools/layers panel in shot? Quote Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe. These are not my own words but I sure like this quote. GarryP
It’s difficult to tell from your screengrab (it’s just a wee bit smaller than necessary, usually better to get the whole screen rather than a bit of it) but the problem could be one of two things (or something else): 1. Your “Width” setting could be too small (I can’t see enough of the number to tell). 2. You are cloning from the “Current Layer” and you may be cloning nothing if the Source you set (where you Alt-clicked) is on a transparent part of the current layer. Do either of these make any sense? Note: The ‘Source cross’ moving ‘in tandem’ with the mouse pointer is expected behaviour for the Clone Tool as it shows you which area will be cloned. Actually, a member in facebook group solved the mystery...my "hardness" had to be lowered to 0%... THEN it worked... Thank you for responding. I'll keep those in mind for the next time...I'm certain there will be a next time.
