Sharpen AI not working as plug in for AF

Recommended Posts

Topaz offers instructions for attaching their app as a plugin to AF.

https://help.topazlabs.com/hc/en-us/articles/360001129351-Serif-Affinity-Photo-Using-Your-Topaz-Labs-Plug-ins

When working in AF, I invoke the Sharpen AI app with the image I have open and the app connects as a plugin and launches fine. The problem is, it is non-functional - does not process anything.

I've sent this on to Topaz and am awaiting their reply, but I wonder if there is any knowledge about this with AP people.

Thanks.

I’m on Mac HS and have Topaz Sharpen Ai working, it’s accessed from my Photoshop plugin folder.

Is your problem the same as in this link here?

Yes, John. Same issue. Thanks for the reference.

I have the same system as firstdefence above, High Sierra, iMac 11,3 (soon to be replaced) yet he reports no problems.

Will be happy to try any suggestions.

Until then, hope some progress in compatibility can be made before too long. :)

Is there anything new on this topic? I'm trying Topaz Sharpen AI, and the stand-alone app works (though I haven't found the perfect original to see how well).

I followed the instructions and can access Sharpen AI in Affinity Photo Filters, but nothing happens.

It's not much of an effort to use it as a standalone.
