Affinity Photo Don't export color palettes from Mac AP(1.8.4) as .afpalette it exports as .clr, .clr is not supported to import AP 1.8.4.693(windows 10).

To me it adds the suffix .afpalette by default when I choose a palette for export in AP 1.8.4 on mac.

What if you type the suffix manually?

Sorry. Same result here in APhoto, regardless of application or document palette.

Again, how about typing the desired suffix manually?

If you do that you get {name}.afpalette.clr, it appears to use the suffix .clr if the the palette is a system palette, if you select the affinity colour palette and export it will use .afpalette as the suffix.

@thomaso @firstdefence I don't every remember importing as a system palette, but I see what yous are saying now, some how I must have done just that. FML!

System palettes are unique to the Mac OS. They can be created in several different apps. Because they are 'system' ones they do not need to be imported & can be used in any app that supports them, regardless of which app created them.
