crayons Posted August 13, 2020 Posted August 13, 2020 Affinity Photo Don't export color palettes from Mac AP(1.8.4) as .afpalette it exports as .clr, .clr is not supported to import AP 1.8.4.693(windows 10). Quote
thomaso Posted August 13, 2020 Posted August 13, 2020 To me it adds the suffix .afpalette by default when I choose a palette for export in AP 1.8.4 on mac. What if you type the suffix manually? thomaso Posted August 13, 2020 Posted August 13, 2020 Sorry. Same result here in APhoto, regardless of application or document palette. Again, how about typing the desired suffix manually? If you do that you get {name}.afpalette.clr, it appears to use the suffix .clr if the the palette is a system palette, if you select the affinity colour palette and export it will use .afpalette as the suffix. thomaso 1 Quote iMac 27" 2019 Sequoia 15.0 (24A335), iMac 27" Affinity Designer, Photo & Publisher V1 & V2, Adobe, Inkscape, Vectorstyler, Blender, C4D, Sketchup + more... crayons Posted August 14, 2020 Author Posted August 14, 2020 @thomaso @firstdefence I don't every remember importing as a system palette, but I see what yous are saying now, some how I must have done just that. FML! Please forgive my stupidity. Quote
R C-R Posted August 15, 2020 Posted August 15, 2020 System palettes are unique to the Mac OS. They can be created in several different apps. Because they are 'system' ones they do not need to be imported & can be used in any app that supports them, regardless of which app created them.
