evtonic3
On my mac, when I use the move tool to move a group of pixel objects, it always spikes the cpu usage to 100% for a couple of seconds and temporarily freezes the app and of course shows the spinning beach ball. After that it returns to normal and I am free to move work again. What could be causing this? My machine has 48G of RAM so not sure what it could be. Blende21
Maybe more important is the GPU on your Mac. You don’t tell anything about it. Which OS ? is Metal activated ?
evtonic3
I figured this was a snapping issue as from time to time I see that snapping causes this.
Staff MEB Posted August 12, 2020 Staff Share Posted August 12, 2020 Hi evtonic3, Disable Snap to gaps and sizes in the Snapping Manager if you don't need it (in complex documents) and it should work fine (no lag/beach-balling). evtonic3 1 Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
