Affinity Chirographer - Font Designer

Recommended Posts

Its something special, its for Font designers. The good alternative right now is FontLab, which I don’t like that vector capabilities. I would like Affinity Designer vector much more. So I could design font on move in Affinity Designer on iPad, then go to Affinity Chirographer on Desktop. Still would make a huge difference in time consuming workflow.

As @Fixx says, probably too small a market, making it hard to see how it would be worthwhile for the developers to adapt the Affinity format to work with font files. (I have to confess that the word ‘chirographer’ is new to me, but having looked it up I find that chirography seems to be related specifically to handwriting and penmanship, not font creation/editing.)

If plugins were available (for Affinity Designer) it would be easy to create one to export shapes designed in it to a font format.

Anyway, no plugin support for now...
