Stokestack
I guess if I'm overlooking it, there's a already a problem. But I don't see the current document's dimensions anywhere in the UI. Are they really not shown?
telemax
For quick view, use Crop Tool "C" View Tool "H" shows resolution. GarryP
There’s also the Metadata Panel, and (more easy to get to) the Pan Tool shows the dimensions in the Context Toolbar.

GarryP
As I said above, the dimensions are available simply by selecting the Pan Tool. Under which circumstances would it be useful to have the dimensions displayed permanently in the filename tab? In other words, how often do you need to know the dimensions of the document? Stokestack
Thanks for the replies. If there’s only one document open, there is no tab, so that won’t work. It’s ridiculous to have to use a tool or open a panel to see the document’s dimensions. This information is important in many, many cases. If I’m preparing an image for posting somewhere or another space- or data-constrained application, I need to know if I need to resize it. Or maybe I’m working on icons that are required to have certain dimensions. Photoshop displays the image dimensions in the status bar at the bottom of the window. The lack of any such display in Photo is mystifying. Ralph
