They should be uniform all the way around. However, at different zoom levels, they overlap on some edges or they may appear thinner.

I attached different (cropped) screenshots at varying zoom levels to show what I mean. These were all taken while working on a 4K monitor.

Agreed...I get this when selecting an object, then inverting the selection. Only see marching ants on 2 sides of the display.
