Adam 005 Posted May 3, 2020 Posted May 3, 2020 Is it possible to use an older software version after I've updated to the latest. Basically I did the latest update and now files open very dark about 2 stop. I was happy before the update and now I just want to go back to that point as right now I'm stuck indoors with a editor I can't use correctly. Quote
Staff Patrick Connor Posted May 3, 2020 Staff Posted May 3, 2020 If it's a RAW problem, try using View > Studio > 'Reset Studio' first before anything more drastic. If that helps then the next Windows photo beta will address this problem Quote Patrick Connor Serif Europe Ltd Latest V2 releases on each platform Help make our apps better by joining our beta program! If that helps then the next Windows photo beta will address this problem Firstly I'll make it clear I'm no computer person and only do this as a hobby so my knowledge is very limited It's a raw problem I guess as I only take images in raw. I've tried resting every thing and nothing works. as you can see form the attached files it's a real problem. First image is fresh import to Affinity raw develop and second is how Faststone displays it on my p.c both are raw files What is the next windows photo beta thing? I have download something from that this morning to try and help with this issues but not sure if I should have though. Any help with this will be great as my photo editing is a big part of keeping me sane whist in lock down. Quote

It is the next Photo beta for Windows after the one that is currently available. That is, one with a build number bigger than 1.8.4.647. Sorry for my lack of knowledge.😐 When it's available, yes, you download it and install it. It installs alongside the retail release, so you will have both installed. When it's available, it will be located at the top of the Photo Beta on Windows forum. (Currently, if you go there you'll find 1.8.4.647 which (from what Patrick said) does not have the fix you want, but you're free to install it for practice ) Patrick Connor 1 Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU.
