stubborndog Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 I am driven crazy by this. I do a very repetitive job for a client that involves lining up two parallel items. I have made a custom 512 pixel grid for my 2048 pixel window. Great EXCEPT Each new window I need to select the custom grid or I get the automatic one. Am I missing something or do the coders not think we ever do repetitive work? Quote
walt.farrell Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 Have you tried creating a preset in the Grid Manager and using that? ianrb Posted January 22, 2021 Posted January 22, 2021 just question I was going to ask I have made several grid presets in inches (pixels meaning nothing to me How do I set one of my presets as the default when I open grid lines with Ctrl + " ATM I always get 0.104 inch x 1 division 🤬 Any other suggests would be appreciated cheers -- keep safe up there Quote
mrqwak Posted August 19, 2021 Posted August 19, 2021 Is there no option to change the default grid size? It seems, every time I open a new image or create a new document, I need to apply my own custom grid, in order to get the grid I want (and I want the same grid for all the images I'm editing). It's just one of many features I find missing, to the detriment of Affinity Photo. Quote
ianrb Posted August 20, 2021 Posted August 20, 2021 You can make your own presets >View >Grid + Axis management I have a macro to set inches --- I could like have a grid size in the same macro Built into my "start" macro I have 1x2 grid -- there also presets for 1x3 and 1x4 . Turn grid on/off short cut is Ctrl + " -- not sure if that is default or mine Works for me, but I'm editing photo mostly and make basic collages Hope that helps; your questions welcome . Quote
