There are some issues with using automated fields in text:

- After loading a file, page number fields in the open page show as a hashtag (#) instead of the actual value. Only after refreshing the page by clicking around it gets its actual value.
- In the master pages for some reason the Total Pages field is shown as a value (the actual page count), but the Page Number field is showing a hashtag symbol (#) instead of its value. To me that seems inconsistent and gives me the impression as a user this part of the software is not stable yet. I would expect both fields to show their values or both fields to show some symbol representing them, but not both using a different method.

See video below and file in attachment.

Looks normal, a Master page has no physical page number

To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. If any of "my" posts are wrong or appear to be total b*ll*cks they are the ones generated by the AI. If correct they were probably mine. I apologise for any mistakes made by my AI - I'm sure it will improve with time.

@Pauls @carl123 You are right, my bad. After opening the file again I saw a master page had been selected during save causing the master page to open up with a hashtag. When selecting a Page (no master page), saving and opening that file again, there is indeed a number, as it now opens a Page in the editor and not a Master Page.

I can't edit the initial post, so can't add things like [Solved] to the title of this thread. I think it's too much to hide this post. So that's a little unfortunate.

But anyway, thanks guys!
