Welcome to Affinity Forums :)
Are you referring to the "posterise" effect (banding) on the brush edges? Photoshop applies dithering while we don't. There's already an improvement request filled for this but i have no idea when or if it will be implemented. Meanwhile, changing the document colour format to 16 bit may help a little (menu Document > Convert Format / ICC Profile, first dropdown).

Ohh that's a shame. For now I just brused that part over with the same tone of blue and it looks OK but during the export it actually does not:

It would be easier to select the woman, refine the selection and then copy and paste her to a new layer and then add whatever background you wanted.
