Affin
I am used to the default color shortcut key (D) in Photoshop, which sets the color of the brushes to Black and White (or Default brush 'color' / or De-saturated brush 'colors'). I use Affinity for a couple of years now and I still miss this shortcut key. Is there a(n alternative) short key to 'reset' the brush colors to Black and white? This reset-brushcolors-to-default-black-white--shortcut key in combination with the existing shortcut key (X) to swap the colors (or eXchange brush colors) is very handy to avoid having to stop working during various tasks, like masking/selecting based on White and Black brushes. Ray S.
Hi Affin, welcome to the forum, I am/was also used to the D-Shortcut in PS. You can easily set the shortcut in the preferences. PaulAffinity
Affin
Thank you for your reply. I remember looking for a method before but did not find it. As you just mentioned it should be possible and I looked for this again, the function is indeed there, yet for unclear reason not assigned a shortcut key. Edit > Preferences > Keyboard shortcuts > [ PHOTO ] > [MISCELLANEOUS] > Set Fill to Black and White >>> D EDIT: I don't know whether or not these custom shortcuts will remain with (BETA) updates though. I would still prefer to see this key assigned by default. Edited March 16, 2020 by Affin
