ChristAlix Posted March 6, 2020 Posted March 6, 2020 Unfortunately the line / curve ends are still cut off. I added a AD file with document history, hope you can reproduce the problem! S_Curve_expand_stroke.afdesign
ChristAlix Posted March 6, 2020 Author Posted March 6, 2020 In fact, it has something to do with the Corner Toll function, because it works perfectly with straight line segments.
Wosven Posted March 6, 2020 Posted March 6, 2020 And it works too using the Corner tool until some point. Is there "too much" or overlapping curves that create this bug?
ChristAlix Posted March 6, 2020 Author Posted March 6, 2020 The length of the straight line at the end of the lines/curves must be significant in order not to be cut off. I tried to keep the ends as short as possible but they are still cut off. Also the baking did not help
ChristAlix Posted March 6, 2020 Author Posted March 6, 2020 But this version only works with longer lines / curve ends.
ChristAlix Posted March 6, 2020 Author Posted March 6, 2020 This version actually works as desired, but only when I insert, for example, arrows at both ends (beginning and end) of the curve. These elements are stored separately in the layer and must be removed manually. But if I only insert connection elements at one end of the line, the other end will be cut off again, strange or? ???
Staff MattP Posted March 6, 2020 Staff Posted March 6, 2020 Adding arrowheads that are inside the curve, actually shortens the curve and doesn't make it end where it used to - hence the different behaviour. I think there's just some issue surrounding the curves generated by using corners and I'll investigate it, thanks Matt Mark Ingram 1
ChristAlix Posted March 6, 2020 Author Posted March 6, 2020 Hi MattP, thank you and the Affinity Team for the great work. I know you will solve it soon and until then I can live with the solution (insert arrows at ends) wonderfully! Keep up the good work!! MattP 1
